The Rojo Way is one of the signature programs in Rosa Es Rojo. Thanks to The Rojo Way, Rosa Es Rojo can make wellness and cancer prevention accessible for the Latinas living in America by training them on the topics of nutrition, physical activity, emotional health and positive thinking.
The Rojo Way consists on 20 hours of direct training, shared 100% in Spanish because we know that language appropriate outreach and an effective communication within the Latino community can save many lives when we are talking about cancer and other chronic diseases. The concept behind The Rojo Way is innovative since it has been designed using the Accelerated Learning (AL) Methodology, based on how we naturally learn: a total learner involvement (activity based), collaboration among learners (social interaction) and contextual learning (real-world immersion).
The Rojo Way focus on clarity and simplicity. We bring Spanish content and information together that is most often times disperse, spread everywhere and in English. We share it in a clear and simple way. Positive psychology helps us to reinforce positive messages. We focus in on possible solutions, emphasizing the importance of understanding what can be controlled. Most of the valuable resources provided by our competitors are not specific to our target market.
We are focusing on women due to the potential reach that Latinas have among their families and communities. The effects of a positive and healthy outlook on life are contagious and go beyond matters of health. We want our participants to feel empowered enough to make conscious health decisions. Thanks to The Rojo Way, we are the possibility of reducing by 50% the incidence of cancer among Latinas in North Texas by 2030.
